Alpaca Wear began in 1999 out of a necessity to provide quality alpaca clothing for the general public where fiber content was true to the label. To this day, the alpaca wear clothing offers quality, customer service, and integrity to the consumer. Alpacawear is made of a unique fiber with many great benefits. The Alpaca Wear clothing will give you natural warmth that keeps you feeling comfortable, and you do not become too warm. Why? Our alpaca collections allow the clothes to breath and are lightweight so you won't need to worry about feeling overheated or too cold or too bulky in wearing your Alpaca Wear clothing.Alpaca wear is also very soft and smooth to the touch for maximum comfort against your skin. The alpaca wear collections are suitable for every season. We blend cotton, silk or merino wool with the alpaca to create different weights for different seasons. These special blends are called PacaSilk (alpaca and pima), PacaWool (alpaca and merino wool), and PacaPima (alpaca and pima cotton).
Much of the softness is due to the smooth surface of each alpaca follicle; this eliminates the "prickle effect". Thus, the alpaca fiber is luxurious and soft against your skin, instead of having that "scratchy" feeling as other coarse fibers may have.
